Can you feel the heat?

Written by Benz on Thursday, April 24, 2008

 It’s scorching hot outside.

The heat is unbearable.

My AC is fucked up.

I’m sweating like a pig.

I feel icky.

I HATE SUMMER.

Burnt-out

I have been thinking long and hard about leaving the company. I feel so tired and I am not motivated to go to work. Its like dragging myself everyday to go to the office. I hate that feeling, not healthy. It used to be very easy to work in the office but things has changed. Lately management is requiring everyone to render mandatory e.t., which sucks big time. Staying in the office after the shift is the last thing in my mind. Aside from that the pressure is high to get good NQA score with low AHT. Duh! Just shoot me straight in the head! Everyone keeps on reminding the agents to keep focus and always on guard if our calls are being monitored. Give us a break for God sake. Management doesn't even have a bloody single clue what we are going through every time we take calls. Add to that is the freaking shifting schedule. I am not getting enough sleep. Can you imagine sleeoping for an average of 3-4 hrs a day?!?! I'm a walking corpse, seriously. Sooo frustrated. I should follow suit to Brent. Resign resign resign hahahaha Right now Im shopping around for good offers. We will see. On that note, let me log in to my jobstreet account. See ya! :)

Here we go again…

My new schedule for this quarter was rolled out today. I have to bid adieu to my 7am to 4pm shift and welcome the stressful hours of 9pm to 6am shift. Urgh! My body clock will be screwed up again. If you work in a call center, you’re probably used to the shifting schedules, right? But not for me! I hate transition big time. Why? Well, night shift means no more barkada night out... abnormal sleeping hours… irregular day offs… and no social life. Wahhh just kill me now, please. This shift is prone to E.T. or mandatory overtime as well so better expect longer phone time on the floor. Tsk tsk tsk Im sure brent can relate to this LOL But on the other hand I will receive more thanks to higher night differential pay, which is always good! $$$$ Oh well, enough ranting its 11am and I need to catch some sleep. ZZZZzzzzzz

A day in the office…

My Pod .... what a boring work station :)

A post about work, yes people I work! LOL I’m a technical support representative for a direct home satellite provider in the States. So basically I take calls everyday to assist customers with their technical issue. Just so you know its not a glamorous job. This type of job requires a lot of patience I tell you. I mean you sit all day and be bombarded with calls from unsatisfied customers while me trying to be empathetic and all even though your sick and tired of hearing all their complaints. Most of them irate callers ready to eat me alive. Frustrated callers who keep on blaming me for all the difficulty they are experiencing though they are perfectly aware that I didn’t cause their problems. They will shout at you, they will curse you and name you names. Ohh blood never fails to run out of my ears! Just wanna share a call I received today.

Benz: Thank you for calling _________. My name is …(Customer interrupts)
Customer: I have a problem with my TV. It’s not working!
Benz: I’m sorry to hear that … (Customer interrupts me again)
Customer: Me too!!!
Benz: I understand where you’re coming from but …(Interruption again! tsk tsk)
Customer: No, you don’t. Just do your freaking job and fix my problem, will you?
Benz: Sure, not a problem (At this point I’m starting to get irritated, the biatch is sooo demanding!)
Customer: So what should we do? I don’t have time for this.
Benz: ok just to verify … (Yes, I was interrupted...again for I dont know how many times now! Shit! How can I do my job if you keep on butting in! Geeezz)
Customer: You’re useless!
Benz: Can you just please tell me exactly what’s on your screen? (trying my very best to keep my composure.)
Customer: Just a black screen. No picture!
Benz: I need you to press the power button on the remote.
Customer: Its working now.
Beep beep beep …Customer hang up.

Urggh the nerve of that bitch hanging up on me without even thanking me for helping her realize that she’s a big stupid dumbass. Im so pissed!
